Data Access

The version 1.0 of released GLASS albedo product has a temporal resolution of 8 days, and is available from 1981 to 2010. The GLASS albedo product from 2000 to 2010 is derived from MODIS data, with a spatial resolution of 1km in tile-based sinusoidal projection. The GLASS albedo product from 1981 to 1999 is derived from AVHRR data, with a spatial resolution of 0.05deg in global CMG projection. The GLASS albedo product is generated with angular bin (AB) regression algorithm and statistics-based temporal filter (STF) algorithm. The GLASS albedo product is archived in HDF-EOS format with 3 scientific datasets: shortwave black-sky albedo at local noon solar angle (ABD_BSA_shortwave), shortwave white-sky albedo (ABD_WSA_shortwave), and quality control flag (QC).
